In 2010, shortly after the book was published, Louise Rockwell, friend, talented poet and playwright, staged a Reader’s Theater production of The Serial Killer’s Daughter. Sadly, Louise died in 2011. I will always be grateful to her for her vision, her friendship, and her support.

In 2014 Sherri Raeford, the founder and Artistic Director of Shared Radiance Performing Arts Company, staged a one act play using the poems from The Serial Killer’s Daughter along with additional poems I had written for the 2010 Reader’s Theater production.

November, 2014, marked the 30th anniversary of Velma Barfield’s execution by lethal injection in Raleigh, NC.

During 2015 an outstanding cast presented powerful performances throughout North Carolina that brought my words to life.
